Brow lift surgery is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia or monitored sedation. The incisions are generally made behind the hairline, but for those with high foreheads, the incisions can be placed in front of the hairline. The operation is done using a narrow hollow instrument called an endoscope with a fiber optic light source and camera, through which the procedure is done with small special instruments. The forehead skin is then lifted and repositioned.
If your eyebrows hang too low or too close to your eyes, or your forehead is sagging, you may have been thinking about forehead or brow lift surgery. Any surgery carries potential risk, so you want to know all you can about the advantages and disadvantages before going forward. Discuss your browlift in Santa Monica with Dr. Steven Teitelbaum, one of the top aesthetic surgeons in the United States.
